Lynne Cook Joins impreMedia as Account Director for the National Sales Division, Headquartered in Houston, Texas

Houston, TX (July 17, 2008) –ImpreMedia, the No.1 Hispanic news and information company in the U.S. in online and print, announced today the appointment of Lynne Cook as impreMedia National Account Director.

Cook will be responsible for all national advertising for Rumbo newspapers in Texas, where she will report to Bill Vincent, current Publisher of Rumbo. Other responsibilities include working with impreMedia’s national sales team to develop online and offline opportunities for advertisers and agencies in the Southwest U.S. Region. 

Cook joins impreMedia having worked with the company during the acquisition of Rumbo, where she held the title as President and Publisher of Rumbo and Vice President of Advertising.

In the late 1980s, Cook began her career with the Houston Chronicle, where she started in the marketing research department and held a number of marketing and sales management positions before being named Advertising Director in 1996 through 2002. It was during this time that Cook obtained many noteworthy accomplishments while managing a team of 300 sales associates, 14 directors and $450 million dollars in revenue. In 2002, Cook was promoted to Vice President of Advertising for the Chronicle where she held the position through 2005.

Cook holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Marketing from University of South Florida, and throughout her career has been associated with many media-related positions such as: Newspapers Across America, Movie Committee Chair; Newspaper Association of America, Display Advertising Board Member; National Newspaper Network Strategic, Action Committee Member; Newspaper Value Proposition, Committee Member; Newspaper Association of America, New Reader and Revenue Committee Member; and Houston Hispanic Chamber, Board Member.
