in the United States, announced today that José Alex
Gómez has joined as Director of Marketing.
Alex is
a seasoned marketing and advertising professional with over
20 years of experience in various fields at several advertising
agencies. Most recently, he was Account Director at Ethnic Marketing
Group, where he was leading the Hispanic integrated marketing
efforts for ConAgra Foods.

La Opinión is celebrating its 80th anniversary
this year and expanding its multimedia and multi-market products
and services, Alex's advertising and marketing expertise will
help us develop and integrate our marketing and sales efforts.
His agency experience will be especially valuable as we build

In 2002,
Alex also started his own agency, GrupoGómez Publicidad,
right after leaving Anita Santiago Advertising where he was
Executive Vice President of Strategic Services.
Prior to
that, he worked as Account Supervisor/Director at several advertising
agencies - Ad Americas (now Castells & Asociados), Dieste
& Partners, BBDO Worldwide, where he developed creative
marketing campaigns and supported product launches for clients
such as Pepsi-Cola, Mitsubishi Motor Sales, Pizza Hut, NIKE,
Carl's Jr. and Vons Grocery.
