New York, N.Y. (June 29, 2007) – El Diario La Prensa the leading Spanish language newspaper in New York was selected by Editor & Publisher as one of the “top 10 who got it right”. El Diario La Prensa the oldest Spanish language newspaper in the U.S. made the trade publication’s top 10 list of best practices in the industry.

“It feels great to be included on such a distinguished list of best practices. The El Diario La Prensa history is a compelling story of success during difficult times. It’s wonderful to have that story retold and recognized by the trade publication, Editor & Publisher,” said Rossana Rosado, Publisher and CEO of El Diario La Prensa.

After over 90 years producing news content for the Spanish speaking audience, El Diario continues to triumph in the newspaper industry while general market papers experience slow or even negative growth. Concluding El Diario La Prensa as the highest circulation and readership growth rate of any major New York newspaper.

As of September 2006, El Diario La Prensa has paid circulation of 53,090 copies daily, up from 50,151 in September 2005, and 36,712 copies on Sunday, up from 33,859. The paper has over 266,000 daily readers, according to Scarborough.
