President Bush meets in an exclusive interview with La Opinión, the only representative of Spanish-language media present

Los Angeles, California (March 27, 2006) – On the eve of the national immigration reform in the US senate, US President, George W. Bush, held an exclusive interview with La Opinión, as the only Spanish language media present.

President Bush met with Maribel Hastings, senior correspondent for La Opinión, this morning at the White House and shared his position on the immigration debate after several demonstrations occurred in cities around the country and just days before his visit to Cancun, Mexico to discuss the bilateral agreement between the two countries.

This exclusive interview will publish tomorrow, March 28, 2006 in the Los Angeles market in La Opinión, as well as La Opinión’s web site, and simultaneously in its affiliate newspaper in New York, El Diario La Prensa. It will also appear in its entirety in ImpreMedia’s weekly publications: La Raza in Chicago, La Prensa in Orlando and El Mensajero in San Francisco.
"This is another example of the high journalistic quality that has come to define La Opinión, the place where senior policy makers turn to when they want to communicate with the Latino community," expressed Monica Lozano, publisher and CEO of La Opinión.
