1995-2005: Foreign-Born Latinos Make Progress on Wages
“Foreign-born Latino workers made notable progress between 1995 and 2005 when ranked by hourly wage. The proportion of foreign-born Latino workers in the lowest quintile of the wage distribution decreased to 36% from 42% while many workers moved into the middle quintiles, according to a new analysis of Census Bureau data by the Pew Hispanic Center.”

More Than 300 Counties Now ‘Majority-Minority’
“Nearly one in every 10 of the nation's 3,141 counties has a population that is more than 50 percent minority. In 2006, eight counties that had not previously been majority- minority pushed the national total to 303, the U.S. Census Bureau reported today. Los Angeles County, Calif., had the largest minority population in the country in 2006.”

New York, NY (August 2, 2007) – ImpreMedia has announced the creation of ImpreMedia Digital, LLC. ImpreMedia will be pursuing all of its online efforts through the new company, including acquisitions. Arturo Duran has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of ImpreMedia Digital, and LLC. Mary Zerafa, who had been appointed General Manager of ImpreMedia’s digital efforts in March of 2006, has become Vice-President, Strategy of ImpreMedia Digital, LLC. Both appointees will lead ImpreMedia’s intiatives to develop new sites internally as well as through acquisition.

U.S. Hispanic Mobile Use, Revenues Up
“Hispanic Americans represent the youngest and fastest-growing U.S. mobile segment that reaps high revenues per user on any demographic group, reported Telephia on their Q2 2007 Mobile Hispanic Report. Their findings also reported Hispanic Americans were almost twice as likely as non-Hispanics to access wireless internet through their phones.”

Minority Groups' Share of $10 Trillion U.S. Consumer Market is Growing Steadily.
“The buying power of Hispanics -- now the nation's largest minority group -- will exceed $860 billion in 2007 and is whizzing its way to more than $1.2 trillion five years from now, according to an annual report on minority buying power released Tuesday by the Selig Center for Economic Growth at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.”
