Researchers find Latinos willing to pay for public services
New research challenges the belief that the Latino population is purely interested in assistance from the government. According to the researchers, Latinos in Phoenix are generally willing to pay for quality public services. Their findings were based on analysis conducted on data collected by Phoenix-based Behavior Research Center as part of the City of Phoenix’s 2002/2004 Community Attitude Surveys. Such studies aid in addressing the effect an increasing Latino population has, and can have, on their local communities.
