Paton, Chairman & CEO
Mr. Paton is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer as well as a member of the board of directors of impreMedia LLC. Mr. Paton arrived in the U.S. in 2003 and has quickly built a reputation as a leading media executive. He has been named as a "Media All-Star" for 2005 by AdWeek magazine's Marketing y Medios. In September of 2006 Mr. Paton was the first non-broadcast executive to be named the Hispanic Media Executive of the Year by HispanicAd.Com at the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies' annual conference. In May 2008, Mr. Paton was named a finalist in New York’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program. The winner will be chosen June 26, 2008 in New York City. Since the mid-90’s Mr. Paton has been directly involved as a senior executive or board member in more than $2.5 billion in media transactions and financings. He has a well developed reputation as a turn-around specialist who builds effective management teams, drives award winning journalism and achieves superior financial results. A media executive for more than 30 years, Mr. Paton has been responsible for media operations in the U.S., Canada, France and Spain. Mr. Paton is a graduate of Ryerson University's journalism program and has successfully completed the Finance for Senior Executives program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration

• Ricardo A. Venegas, CFO & EVP Corp. Development
Ricardo A. Venegas Girón has over 12 years experience as a finance executive in the media sector. Before joining impreMedia he served as Treasurer of the Journal Register Company from June 2004 to June 2007. Mr. Venegas has extensive capital markets and Mergers and Acquisition experience and has executed on a variety of transactions totaling over $8 billion in value. Mr. Venegas began his media career at C-TEC Corporation, a diversified media and telecommunications company in October 1994. After a successful spin off of three publicly traded companies, he remained with RCN Corporation where he held a variety of positions, most recently the Treasurer position. Mr. Venegas, originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the E. Philip Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in Finance. Mr. Venegas was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Hispanic Federation in 2007 and has previously held positions on the Board of Directors of Megacable S.A. de C.V., Mexico’s largest multiple system cable operator and MCM S.A. de C.V., a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier based in Mexico City.
• Arturo Duran, CEO of ImpreMedia Digital LLC
Mr. Arturo Duran is Chief Executive Officer of ImpreMedia Digital, LLC.
Previously, Mr. Duran was President of Interactive and Business Integration for Canwest Mediaworks, led the growth of online revenue of that organization to a record level and converted it into the largest Canadian News and Information Network with more than 50 sites. Much of the revenue growth came from the launch of a suite of online Classifieds that quickly grew to the largest in Canada (working.com, driving.ca, remembering.ca, renting.ca etc). Mr. Duran has a long and distinguished career in the online field. He previously served in executive roles at AOL including those of Vice President, Multicultural, for AOL Media Networks, VP Marketing and Interactive Content for AOL Canada, and Director Business Development for AOL Mexico as member of the Team that launched AOL Latin America. Prior to those appointments, Mr. Duran was the Director of Business Development, Internet Division for the Polaroid Corporation.
• Erich Linker, Senior VP National Advertising Sales
Erich Linker is a veteran newspaper advertising executive with decades of experience and an impressive track record. Mr. Linker was most recently Senior Vice President, Sales Director at Newspapers First, managing national advertising sales for 42 newspapers through five regional sales offices. Linker spent twenty years at The New York Times, including six as senior vice president, advertising director and five in senior advertising and marketing roles with the parent company's magazine and international service groups. Prior to joining Newspapers First, Linker served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development for Orb Inc. and Executive Vice President, Advertising Sales and Events for PRESSPOINT Inc.
• Monica Lozano, Senior VP, Publisher & CEO of La Opinión
Monica Lozano has been with La Opinión 19 years having served as the paper's editor, associate publisher and more recently, president and chief operating officer responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. In January of 2004, she became Publisher and CEO of La Opinión and Senior VP of ImpreMedia, assuming full responsibility for the country's largest Spanish language daily newspaper. Under her direction, the newspaper has entered into important strategic partnerships with key media companies as well as public and private entities. She oversaw the launch of new advertising products such as La Opinión Direct as well as the introduction of new targeted sections, and the licensing of La Opinión content outside of the southern California region. She is a nationally recognized leader on Hispanic issues and serves on corporate and non-profit boards including the Walt Disney Company, the University of Southern California and the National Council of La Raza.
• Marshall A. Genger, Corporate Controller
Marshall Genger became Corporate Controller of ImpreMedia in 2004. Upon ImpreMedia’s purchase of El Diario/la Prensa, he served as Controller. Mr. Genger has an extensive background in Publishing, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Henry Holt, COO/GM for a division of Random House Publishing, and Treasurer and Controller for the New York Daily News. Mr. Genger has also served in a number of senior financial management positions in the consumer packaged goods industry.
• Scott A. Mautner, General Counsel
Scott Mautner joined Impremedia as its General Counsel in 2007. Most recently, he served as the General Counsel of WestCom Holdings Corp., a leading provider of telecom services to the banking and financial communities, including the world’s largest and most prestigious banks and investment banking firms. Prior to WestCom, Mr. Mautner served as the General Counsel of BUYandHOLD, Inc., a financial services company focused on long-term investors that offered innovative services to the investing public. Before becoming a General Counsel, Mr. Mautner engaged in the private practice of law as a corporate, securities and real estate attorney representing a variety of public and private companies and real estate developers in the public and private offering of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, commercial loan transactions, and acquisitions and dispositions of real estate. Early in his career, Mr. Mautner practiced litigation and has experience in all phases of litigation in the federal and state courts. Mr. Mautner is a graduate of the Boston University School of Law. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration, with distinction, from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where he concentrated in accounting.
• Jose Ignacio Lozano, Vice-Chairman and Executive VP
Jose Lozano served as CEO and Publisher of La Opinión from 1986 until 2004. He was instrumental in the formation of ImpreMedia, which merged Los Angeles-based
La Opinión with New York's El Diario/La Prensa and brought the nation's two largest Spanish-language newspapers under one umbrella. Under Mr. Lozano's leadership at La Opinión, the newspaper refocused its editorial direction by concentrating on local issues, the newspaper was graphically modernized and successfully launched La Opinión Digital, the online edition of the newspaper. As Publisher of La Opinión, the newspaper achieved growth rates that far exceeded other newspapers and made it among the fastest growing daily newspapers in the US. Lozano is active in the industry and community, serving on several boards including the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) and the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communications.
